In 2024, Clean Water Action led efforts to protect residents by restricting toxic PFAS in many consumer products, including cookware, cosmetics, children’s products, and apparel where alternatives to PFAS already exist. The law is simple — yet goes a long way to “turn off the tap” of these toxic forever chemicals.
Many waterbodies and sites around the state already have high levels of PFAS, these chemicals don’t break down over time, and they are demonstrably harmful to our health. But industry is trying to roll back common-sense PFAS protections across the country by adding waivers and exemptions so they can keep adding toxic PFAS to products.
Take Action: Tell our elected leaders that Connecticut residents support strong protections from toxic PFAS in our state!
