Time to ban toxic PFAS in Massachusetts!

Graphic that says time to ban toxic PFAS in MA

The Problem: PFAS are a class of chemicals widely used in consumer products that are toxic at even low levels. These chemicals are already in the blood of 98% of Americans, and they are contaminating Massachusetts drinking water, rivers, lakes, and soil.

The Solution: Massachusetts should join our neighboring states and pass a comprehensive ban on PFAS! An Act to Protect Massachusetts Public Health from PFAS (S1504/H2450 bans PFAS in food packaging, carpets and rugs, car seats, children’s products, cookware, personal care products, textiles in clothing and furniture, cookware, and fabric sprays and requires manufacturers to disclose PFAS that are intentionally added to their products.  It also allows the MA Department of Public Health to ban PFAS in additional products over time.
