The Problem: PFAS are a class of chemicals widely used in consumer products that are toxic at even low levels. These chemicals are already in the blood of 98% of Americans, and they are contaminating New Jersey’s drinking water, rivers, lakes, and soil.
The Solution: New Jersey should join our neighboring states and pass a comprehensive ban on PFAS! Three bills will help protect our communities from harmful PFAS chemicals:
-
S3946/A5195: Bans PFAS in firefighting turnout gear.
-
S3669/A4767: Bans/limits PFAS in menstrual products.
-
A5260: Bans PFAS in apparel.
Take Action: Send a message to your legislators urging them to co-sponsor and support these bills!
