While we should be focused inward on flood danger mitigation and prevention for our own residents, Governor Abbot has prioritized un-just and racially-biased gerrymandering (which means cutting political districts to under-represent black and brown constituents and working-class families) in order to shore up votes for Trump’s 2026 mid-term election machine.
That is why we are asking you to write a message to your elected Texas Representative and Senator, calling for them to vote against House Bill 4 with its unfair re-drawing of election maps. These maps divide communities and distort true representation, taking power away from the people.
