Beauty shouldn’t come with a warning label, yet millions of us are exposed to harmful chemicals every day. We trust the products we use every day, but what happens when that trust is misplaced? Join Clean Water Action for “Not So Pretty” - a virtual film screening and community conversation uncovering the hidden dangers in everyday beauty and personal care products.
About the Event
This event is part of our Tea on Toxic Beauty campaign, designed to raise awareness about the intersection of health, beauty, and justice. Together, we’ll explore how toxic ingredients, industry racism, and the lack of regulation put our communities at risk, and what we can do to demand change!
Why It Matters
The beauty industry has long profited from products that harm us, especially women of color. Everyday hair, skin, and cosmetic products can contain carcinogens, hormone disruptors, and toxic chemicals that impact reproductive health and overall wellbeing.
