For decades, the residents of Chester have dealt with the burdens of the Reworld Incinerator polluting the air they breathe and causing cancer and asthma rates to soar. The situation is only exacerbated by Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker’s proposal to renew the city’s contract and continue sending about a third of our trash to the Reworld Incinerator for at least 4 more years with possible extensions of up to 7 years.
Philadelphians, however, are beginning to make their voices heard and standing in solidarity with the people of Chester that we do NOT support the burning of our trash.
Take Action! Add your voice to this growing movement by emailing your Philadelphia City Councilmember and telling them to oppose a continued partnership with Reworld.
